Clara’s always dreamed of being on stage. In the shower, she’s sensational. In the choir, she blends right in. But when it comes to singing solo, nerves steal her voice. She can only watch as others chase their dreams.
Everything changes when Clara sneaks into the recording studio where she works and records a song. She forgets to take the recording home—the next morning the office is buzzing about a mysterious ‘new voice’. But not all is good news, there’s also been a break-in.
Too terrified to admit the mystery voice is hers, Clara teams up with her infuriating (but handsome) boss, Marco, to track down the mystery singer.
About Shirley Day
I am a writer for film/ theatre and radio as well as having published seven novels: YA, MG, psychological thrillers, cosy crime, and romance. I teach screenwriting and theatre at three American universities in London as well as working freelance for a series of production companies. I also run my own small production company and am a BBC-registered supplier—producing work for Radio Four and local radio. Over the years, I’ve won awards for my film, theatre, and prose. My BA is in literature and philosophy, an MA is in Aesthetics and I am currently studying for a PhD in Graham Greene and adaptation. I love stories of all kinds, shapes and sizes. My passion is reading books, watching films and taking long walks.
